Aspen Bialer, PCA

(She/Her)

I’m a queer, trans woman and a white antizionist Ashkenazi Jew with lived experience of chronic illness and neuroqueerness. I strive to act within political lineages of resistance and resilience. I’m educated in an eclectic array of somatic methods, woven from modern and ancient practices, including those of East and South Asian, Indigenous, and Jewish lineages.

In my everyday life, you may find me dipping my toes into rivers, getting overly excited about cute mushrooms, and cawing at crows. I also spend time juggling, playing piano, cooking with friends, and reading fiction (feel free to ask me for or give me recs.)

I’m a Professional Counselor Associate (Oregon #R10241) working towards Oregon licensure. I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology with a focus in Somatic Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies. I’ve taken the Relational Somatic Healing training “Beyond Attachment.” My own personal healing has been heavily influenced by the politicized work of Generative Somatics through my teachers Wes Somerson and Dona Hirschfield-White as well as the modalities of Organic Intelligence and Somatic Experiencing. These are not modalities that I have specific training in, but modalities that have significantly shaped my relationship to myself and the work that I do.
