Telehealth and In-Person Portland Office
As a queer and trans person myself, I am most passionate about working with my community. I also have a special interest in working with neurodivergence and complex trauma. I believe as we grow, we find creative and resilient ways to best exist in our families of origin and environments. Sometimes, the ways we learned to be when we were younger are no longer serving us or authentic to who we are now. I enjoy supporting clients in better understanding themselves and feeling more empowered in choosing how they want to move through the world now to be aligned with their values. My approach to therapy is deeply relational and collaborative with a focus on attachment. I feel a safe and strong therapeutic relationship is the most important element of therapy to create an environment that makes growth possible. I strongly believe an abolitionist, anti-racist and health at every size perspective is important to move toward healing and liberation in this work. I currently use various interventions and techniques from different theories depending on what the client’s goals are in order to be client-centered, including DBT, CBT, EMDR, IFS, Attachment theory and Polyvagal theory. Getting to be in relationship with people as a therapist is a huge part of who I am, but other things I love include puzzling ! worms ! caring for my many house plants ! watching reality game competitions and analyzing strategy ! reading ! and spending time with my senior pup !
