Parker Preston is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Trauma Professional (CTP), Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor III (CADC) with extensive experience supporting the LGBTQ2IS+ community. Grounded in health equity, Parker helps trans and non-binary folx navigate systems of oppression. Parker is trained in EMDR, hypnotherapy, somatic psychology, and traditional talk therapy. In addition to being a licensed therapist, Parker is also a public speaker and advocate for LGBTQ2IS+ mental health issues. When not at work he enjoys binge watching Reality TV; HGTV, Domestic and International travel, cuddles with his rescue dog George from Hawaii.
Parker provides telehealth / video therapy sessions. When it comes to therapy, he believes you are the author of your story. He hopes to create a space where you feel brave, respected, and welcome to explore your experience. His expertise centers on mind-body connections to better manage anxiety, depression, and stress. He has expertise working with youth, emerging adults and the LGBTQIA2S+ community as a culturally specific provider (CLSS). Recently, his practice has expanded to couples and individuals who are navigating ethical non-monogamy.
Therapy with him might feel different. He frequently uses humor or banter to bring levity to life’s toughest adjustments in order to help transition into the personal growth and change you seek through talk, EMDR, or hypnotherapy services. Prior to therapy he spent 20+ years in Executive Search & HR if a career change is in your future.
