Healing doesn't always arrive through words. Sometimes it begins with a brushstroke, a body finally allowed to move freely, or a character who gets to say what we haven't yet found the courage to say ourselves. I work with clients of all ages, with a special place in my heart for neurodivergent and queer kids, teens, and young adults. Growing up different can feel lonely, and having someone who celebrates exactly who you are can change everything. I support people through anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, identity/values exploration, family stress, and big life transitions. I'm also passionate about helping people heal their relationships with food and their bodies, shaped by my work at Kartini Clinic, where I led expressive arts and coping skills groups for kids and teens with eating disorders and still serve as an on-call counselor.
My first career in entertainment, events, and drag performance taught me how much healing unfolds through play, storytelling, imagination, and self expression. Sessions might include drawing, games, movement, mask-making, or role play, and on days when words feel like too much, we can let the art do the talking. I weave in drama and play therapy, Jungian depth work, mindfulness, IFS-informed parts work, narrative therapy, and CBT and DBT skills. My work is humanistic, client-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in disability justice, queer affirmation, and antiracist values. In other words: you set the pace, your story is always honored, and who you are is something to celebrate, never something to fix.
Outside of the counseling space, you'll find me at concerts, musicals, and drag shows, playing sports, out on a run, planning my next trip, or getting lovingly bossed around by my cats, Bubba and Damian. I'm a Professional Counselor Associate (Oregon R10040) with an MS in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling and a BA in Theater Arts from Portland State University, providing services under the clinical supervision of Tina Peterman, PhD, LPC.
