I have spent more than 10 years working with children and families as an educator in Lincoln County, and I love working with children and teens of all ages, adults, and parents who are navigating things that feel overwhelming, confusing, or stuck. I have a particular interest in ADHD and anxiety, emotional regulation, and helping people better understand the challenges they’re experiencing while building practical coping skills. I’m especially passionate about helping families look beyond challenging behavior to understand what a child may be communicating through it, including big emotions, unmet needs, lagging skills, anxiety, sensory needs, or executive functioning challenges.

I also have a special interest in providing therapy to parents raising emotionally intense children and children with developmental, neurodivergent, or additional support needs. Parenting can take up so much space that there is often very little left for the person behind the role. I want therapy to provide a nonjudgmental place for parents to talk openly about their own stress, frustration, worry, relationships, identity, and needs, while having support from someone who understands the unique challenges that can come with raising a child who needs more.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. I draw from humanistic and experiential approaches, CBT, and parts-informed work, with a strong focus on emotional regulation, coping skills, and understanding yourself and your experiences. With children, I incorporate play, creativity, movement, and other developmentally appropriate ways of learning and expressing themselves.I am a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student providing services under the clinical supervision of Maygen Blessman, LCSW.
